However, while this option is low cost because it involves applying a thin layer of paint, the lines will typically fade away as the wheels of forklift trucks and people's feet pass over them.
If you have a larger budget, you may wish to opt for solvent-based paint, which is produced using oils. This type of paint is long lasting and highly durable which makes it ideal for warehouse settings. Solvent paint is normally applied using a marking machine, which offers higher levels of accuracy compared to paint applied using stencils.
Ensure the floor is in good condition
The floor of a warehouse can take a real beating as forklift trucks drive over it and heavy pallets of goods are stored for long periods in one place. Before you begin painting lines on the floor of your warehouse, you should carefully inspect its condition. Any paint which is applied to damaged parts of the floor is likely to begin to flake away.
